Diving bell and butterfly

Heard of this book for years, and knowing the prizes won by it, I dare not enter the cinema for it until some film-addicts invited me to go. Why no gut going for it? Just the same for the reason for recommending it now, the reflection of one's life towards love and life.
In fact, the tone of the story was not that sad and heavy, instead it was full of humour. The use of first-person view and narration was an interesting perspective to see one's life on his own. When Jean-Do laughed at himself for all the "troubles" suffered the "lock-in" syndrome, his life began in another way. What the film inspires me most is, we always can only treasure what is left after we lose. Death is not terrible, unable to love is even worst.
