關於我和我的創作

"那些日子"出版之後，有些朋友想知道我多一點，例如：我是一個怎樣背境的人？在甚麼驅使之下決定將第一個出版企劃如此定位？為了滿足這些朋友的求知慾，唯有再一次夫子自道。所以，如果你對我已有相當程度的認識，以下的文字對你來說，總有點似曾相識的了，只盼望不會將你悶倒。

我是出身非常草根的基層香港人，成長於公共屋邨，父親是一個視力不太好的首飾鑲嵌技工，母親是一個不良於行的家庭主婦，縱使如此，他們給予我的童年是非常溫暖的。

小時候，父親工餘常帶我去到處逛：在陳森記書店打書釘、在中環大會堂高低座看不同的藝術和科學展覽、夏天去摩士公園泳池游泳、或者在維多利亞公園及九龍公園的草地四處奔跑......記憶中，星期天的活動很豐富，黃昏時總有種點若有所失的感覺。

母親在我出世後就要依賴手杖步行，要按著我的膊胳慢慢的一步一步上市場買菜，在不同的小店中和叔叔姨姨串門子，而我總是在一旁聽著。在平淡而溫馨的日子裡，母親在有限的條件中，仍然會花心思配搭衣服，愛穿一種有小膠珠綴在鞋面的布鞋，還有一支已長伴她身邊的木手杖。

我的中學生涯過得非常愜意，母校銘賢書院是一所風氣自由而能夠培養高尚品格的學校，或多或少令我日後選擇了誤人子弟的行業。

大專的生涯，相對來說就只是為職業作準備。蒼海桑田，當年的葛亮洪教育學院，現在已是雅致的樓房，葛師教我懷念的是她古老的氣息和有竹林為伴的陶瓷工作室。乃至後來在理工大學兼讀生涯，記憶中只有偌大的包玉剛圖書館，和沒法親身體驗大學校園生活的遺憾。

開始工作之後，有幸在職場遇上一位很愛藝術的物理科老師，因而能夠認識陳餘生老師，並隨老師學習創作，正式打開了我在藝術創作的旅程。老師愛人家稱他雞粒（因為他洋名Gaylord），是一個嚴肅的老頑童，創作風格獨特，教學生的方法也非常獨特，每個學生都有自己的個人風格。雞粒老師個人經歷非常多，讀佛經、博覽群書、對創作非常執著和認真，和老師把著紅酒咖啡，可以笑論人生，也可以狠狠的批評作品，無非是著緊我們這班對創作有信念的年青人。

我就是在這種氛圍之下一步步的開展自己的創作：初學繪畫時的塑膠彩，以花為喻；有一段時間，畫面全以色彩堆積，沒有固定的形象；再過一段時間，以拙稚的方式繪畫生活中真實的片段；現在，畫筆顏料之外，亦以攝影方式表達，多在黑白光影中游走。種種形式，無非想以影像說話，影象鉤起的感受，就是我想捕捉的那種感受，也是我要說的東西。
